Microcinema International and imeem Bring Art-Focused Film and Ambient Media to Online Audiences

imeem, a leading social network, and distributor Microcinema International have announced a content partnership to offer full–length screenings from Microcinema’s wide range of art-focused film and video and ambient media on imeem. This partnership will allow imeem’s online community the opportunity to view innovative productions never before seen outside of museums and film and video festivals. Additionally, this collaboration will enable Microcinema, a specialty-market distributor, to exercise new channels of online distribution by connecting with over 18 million users on imeem’s social network.

The partnership will launch with the showing of underground graffiti documentary film Write and Unite, screened in its entirety for an entire weekend beginning Friday, December 7th (5pm, EST) through Monday, December 9, at http://microcinema.imeem.com.

Microcinema and imeem are also teaming up to offer:
1.    A screening series featuring hard-to-find films and videos, including: Luis Bunuel’s Un Chien Andalou, The Call of Cthulhu, Barnstormers 360, The God Who Wasn’t There, End of Suburbia, Fragile Machine, RELINE, Art Show Down and Patrick Smith’s Liquid Tales.
2.    Full-length streaming access to Microcinema’s extensive ambient media and moving image arts catalog featuring: Rob Tyler’s Color+Modulation, Plasmawindow’s Plasmavironment, Colorcalm By Design, Wallflowers by DetourDVD, HUB Culture’s Antarctica, and Simon King’s African Skies.
3.    Trailers from the entire catalog of Microcinema films.
